Your emotes
Upload your own emotes, have them checked by the team, and let your fans unlock them with their fan level.
Your own emotes are a reward for your fans: they unlock them with their fan level in your channel and can then use them in every chat on CamuCam. A tap on one of your emotes, wherever it shows up, opens a card with your channel and Visit and Follow – so your emotes bring people to you.
How many you can have
Your slots come with your creator rank (see Creator rank on Go live):
- Rookie: 2 after your first stream, none before
- Rising: 5
- Featured: 10
- Star: 20
- Icon: 40
Emotes waiting for the team and live ones take a slot; one that wasn’t approved doesn’t. Removing an emote frees its slot.
Upload
- Open Your emotes on Go live.
- Tap Choose pictures (PNG, GIF, WebP – several at once) – up to 2 MB each. Animated GIF and WebP stay animated (up to 60 frames). Emotes are shown small and square, so keep them simple.
- Give each one a Name – 2–16 letters or digits. The code becomes
:yourhandle_name:. - Choose Who can use it: Fan 1+, Fan 3+, Fan 5+ or Fan 10+.
- Confirm that the pictures are yours or that you may use them – no nudity, nothing hateful, no one else’s logo or face – and tap Send for review.
Already have emotes on another platform? You can upload several at once, as long as they’re yours.
The review
The team checks every emote before anyone sees it. The list on Go live shows where each one stands, and changes as soon as the team decides:
- Waiting for the team
- Live – your fans can use it
- Not approved, with the reason: “Not allowed on CamuCam”, “Looks like someone else's picture”, “Hard to read at chat size” or “The name doesn't work”
The team can also take a live emote down later. You can change who can use an emote at any time with its fan-level menu, or remove it – that frees the slot and the name.
For your fans
Fans level up in your channel by watching, chatting and tipping there – see Levels, fans, streaks & badges. When someone reaches an emote’s fan level, the new emotes show in their level-up moment, and from then on they can use them in every chat. The fan card on your channel lists your emotes by fan level, so fans see what comes next. You can always use your own.
Your emotes also show in the OBS chat overlay and in the chat API.
