Watching
Clips, VODs & moments
Watch past streams with their chat, open clips and moments, and share them – from the start or from a set point in time.
A stream doesn’t vanish when it ends. Many channels keep their recent streams as VODs (recordings), and creators publish their best moments as short clips you can watch and share.
Past streams (VODs)
On a channel page, recorded streams are under Past streams – the newest first, with Streams up to this day to look further back. Whether a stream is recorded and whether viewers may watch it is the creator’s choice. A VOD stays for 7 days unless the creator keeps it longer.
On a VOD page:
- Chat replay next to the video shows the chat as it came, in step with the picture.
- Chapters mark tips, offers, parties, raids, reached goals, polls and breaks – tap one to jump there. During a break, Skip break takes you past it.
- While the creator is still live, the VOD says Still live – recording, and Watch live takes you to the stream.
If the team has taken a VOD offline, you see The team took this VOD offline. instead of the video.
Moments and clips
After a stream, CamuCam picks its liveliest minutes – from tips, the chat, the party and how it sounded. The creator publishes the ones they like, and each becomes a clip:
- under Moments on the channel page;
- under Last night's moments on Browse for a day and a half (one per channel), and on the home page when nobody is live.
Creators also clip their stream while live, or from a VOD, and share those clips. Every clip has its own page with the video, who streamed it and a button to their channel (“Watch Mara live now” while they’re live). Clips stay for 30 days.
Share
- A clip: tap Share on its page. Link previews show the clip’s picture.
- A VOD from a moment: play to the spot and tap Share – once you’re a few seconds in it reads Share at 1:12:30, and the link starts there. You can also add a time to a VOD address yourself, like
?t=1h12m30s.
The share sheet offers LINE, WhatsApp, Telegram, X, Facebook, copying the link and More apps…. When you’re signed in, every link you share is your invite link – see referrals.
