Stream from Castr
Send your stream to Castr once and let it pass it on to CamuCam – a Custom RTMP platform with your server and key.
Castr takes your stream once and passes it on to the platforms you choose. CamuCam is one of them as a Custom RTMP platform.
Your server and key for Castr
- On Go live, open Stream to CamuCam from… and pick the Castr tab.
- Copy the Server URL and the Stream key with their copy buttons. The eye button shows the key.
The key starts with your handle and ends in &via=castr. Always copy it whole: the end only tells us the stream came through Castr.
Add CamuCam in Castr
- In Castr, open your stream and add a new platform.
- Pick Custom RTMP.
- Paste the Server URL as the RTMP server and the Stream key as the stream key, name it CamuCam, and save.
- Switch the CamuCam platform on and send your stream to Castr as before.
What looks best
Castr passes your picture on as it gets it – set it up in your encoder:
- Upright (9:16): 720×1280 or 1080×1920. Landscape works too.
- Keyframe interval 2 s.
- Bitrate 2.5–4.5 Mbit/s.
Going live and if it doesn’t connect
On Go live Waiting for your encoder… turns into Your encoder is live within seconds. If nothing happens: copy the key again, whole; after New key on Go live paste the new one into Castr; check that the CamuCam platform is switched on.
