Chat rules & moderators
Decide who may write in your chat and how often, block words, and choose moderators who keep it friendly.
Your chat, your rules. On Go live you set who may write and how often, and you choose moderators who help you keep the chat friendly. The rules never hold you, your moderators or the CamuCam team.
Chat rules
Open Chat rules under Settings:
- Slow mode – Off, 5, 10, 30, 60 or 120 s between two lines of the same person.
- Followers only – only followers write. With Following for at least you can ask for 10 min, 1 h or 1 day of following.
- Fans only – Fan 1+, 3+, 5+ or 10+ in your channel (see Levels, fans, streaks & badges).
- Account at least – 1, 7 or 30 days old.
- Emotes only – lines may only be emotes and emoji.
- Words not allowed – one per line, up to 50. Lines with these words aren’t sent. Only you see this list.
- Translate the chat (Thai ↔ English) – Off, On tap or Always. This one helps reading, it doesn’t limit writing – see Translation in chat.
Tap Save rules and your chat shows them right away. Viewers see the rules as small chips above the input; if they can’t write, the chat tells them why and, where it clears by itself, how long to wait.
Links to adult sites are removed from every chat automatically.
Moderators
In Moderation, type a @handle and tap Add – up to 20 moderators. You can also choose Make moderator in the menu of someone’s chat line. Only you choose them; the × next to a name takes it back.
Moderators carry a Mod badge in your chat. They, you and the team open the menu of a chat line (…) to:
- Delete the line,
- Time out the person for 1 min, 10 min or 1 h,
- Ban from this chat.
A time-out or a ban also clears that person’s lines from the last 10 minutes. Moderators act on viewers; only you and the team act on a moderator, and nobody can time out or ban you or the team in your chat. Moderators can start and end polls too.
Under Timed out or banned you see who is held right now – Lift frees them. Lately shows the last actions and who took them.
