Social Stream Ninja
Add your CamuCam chat to Social Stream Ninja, next to Kick, YouTube and TikTok – through a bridge you keep open.
Social Stream Ninja (SSN) is a free tool many streamers use to collect all their chats in one place. A small bridge page hands your CamuCam chat to your SSN session, and CamuCam shows up there like any other platform. In SSN itself you only turn on one switch.
Set it up
- In SSN, turn on “Enable remote API control of extension” (Global settings → Mechanics).
- Copy your SSN session ID – the part after
?session=in SSN’s dock address. - On Go live, open Settings → Chat overlay for OBS and paste it into the field under Social Stream Ninja.
- Open bridge – or copy its address – and keep it open while you stream: in a browser tab, or in OBS as a custom browser dock (Docks → Custom Browser Docks), so it isn’t in your video.
The bridge shows a dot for your CamuCam chat and one for Social Stream Ninja, and how many lines it has passed on. If a connection drops, it reconnects by itself.
What arrives in SSN
Lines come in as the platform “CamuCam”, with name, avatar and colour:
- every chat line, with its emotes as pictures and replies with “@Name” in front
- tips as donations, with their amount in US dollars
- offers and wheel spins as donations, led by the offer’s title
- removed lines: SSN’s dock takes them out, SSN’s overlays may keep showing them
Your session ID stays yours
The session ID sits after the # in the bridge’s address, so it never reaches CamuCam’s server. The bridge runs in your browser: it reads your chat from the chat API and passes it straight on to SSN.
