Chat, replies & emotes

Every live stream has a chat. Anyone can read it; to write, sign in. A line holds up to 300 characters and Enter sends it. Each channel can set its own rules, shown as chips above the input (Slow mode · 10 s, Followers only …) – if you can’t write yet, the input tells you why. Links to adult sites are removed automatically.

Replies

1. On a phone, tap a line; on a computer, point at it. Tap Reply (the arrow).
2. Replying to … appears above the input – × cancels.
3. Your line goes out with a small quote of the original; a tap on the quote jumps to it.

Replies to you are highlighted, and you can reply to tips and offers too. If the original is deleted, the quote says message removed.

Emotes

The smiley button next to the input opens Recent, Camu, Thailand, This month, Emoji, Effects, Collection and a search – plus the emotes of the channel you’re in and of every channel whose emotes you’ve unlocked. Typing : suggests emotes (Tab or Enter picks one). A line of only emotes shows big.

• For everyone: the Camu basics and the Thailand set.
• Levels: two more Camu poses with every level from 2 to 9. Locked ones are grey (“Unlocks at level 4”).
• This month: the month’s season set. Reach Spark in the season and you keep it.
• Creators’ emotes (:handle_name:): a fan level in that channel unlocks them, then they work in every chat.

Tap an emote in the chat to see where it comes from and what unlocks it – a creator’s emote has Visit and Follow on its card.

• Effects go right behind an emote: :camu_hi:~spin+crown – up to two effects and two overlays each. More come with levels; rainbow comes with a badge in gold, big with Flame in this month’s season or for everyone during a party at level 3.
• Combos: 3 or more people sending the same emote within 10 seconds make it rise over the stream (“Combo ×4”) and fill the party.
• Quick bar: your recent emotes above the input – one tap sends one. × hides it; switch it back on in the picker under Recent.

Drops and your collection

While you watch signed in, an emote sometimes drops: a capsule appears at the top – tap Collect within 90 seconds. Up to three a day, twice as likely during a party. A stream that reaches a goal rains a drop on everyone watching, and a weekly quest or a badge in gold brings one that waits for you.

• Common: an emote you couldn’t use yet
• Rare: the gold version · Epic: the holo version
• Legendary: animated and numbered (“#12 of 500”)

After nine drops without anything rare, the tenth is at least rare. Under Collection you can Try 24 h one locked emote a day, and Gift one of yours a day (not a legendary one) – the other person collects it like a drop.
