Restream to Kick, Twitch, YouTube & Facebook

Stream to CamuCam once and our server sends copies to up to three other platforms – your keys stay sealed.

Send your stream to CamuCam once – our server sends a copy to up to three other platforms: Kick, Twitch, YouTube, Facebook or any RTMP server. Your phone uploads only one stream, and the copies cost you nothing.

Add a platform

  1. On Go live, open Restream and tap Add a platform.
  2. Pick Kick, Twitch, YouTube, Facebook or Custom RTMP. The Server URL is filled in – change it if your platform shows you another one.
  3. Paste your Stream key. For Twitch, YouTube and Facebook, Where to find the key opens the right page; on Kick it’s in your creator dashboard under Settings → Stream.
  4. Choose Mark and overlays or not (see below) and tap Save.
  5. Check tests whether the server answers, without publishing anything. The key itself is checked when you go live.

A server address starts with rtmp:// or rtmps://, without a user, password or “?”; a key has 8–300 characters and no spaces. Each platform has its own on/off switch. YouTube enables live streaming 24 hours after phone verification; TikTok works as Custom RTMP if you have LIVE Studio access.

Your key is stored sealed and never shown again – the card only shows its last four characters (••••1234). To change it, tap Edit and enter a New stream key; leave it empty to keep the saved one.

While you’re live

The copies start when you go live and end with your stream. Each platform shows how its copy is doing: Connecting …, Live · 1.2 Mbit/s, Waiting for your picture (a break on your phone or a dropped connection – it carries on by itself) or Trying again with the reason.

A broken copy is tried again after 5 seconds, 15 seconds, then every minute. After 5 breaks within 10 minutes it’s Stopped for this stream, with a notice and a line in your activity. If the reason says to check the stream key, fix it – any change to the platform lets the copy try again.

The mark and overlays

With Mark and overlays on, the copy shows the CamuCam logo top right with “Tips: camucam.com/@you”, plus your overlays when they’re on. Such a copy is re-encoded to 720p in your stream’s orientation; without it, your picture goes out as it is.

Sometimes a copy runs without the mark, and the line under it says why: “re-encoding is paused on CamuCam”, “re-encoding in copies isn’t open for your channel right now” or “all re-encoders are busy”. Some phones send a picture the platforms don’t take; if it can’t be converted right now, you see this picture can’t go there right now or this picture needs a re-encode, which isn’t open for your channel right now.

Twitch rules

Twitch allows simulcasting, but not sending its viewers elsewhere by a link or a call-out in the picture. A Twitch copy therefore shows the CamuCam logo without the address and, of your overlays, only your photo and name (or logo) and your own ticker lines – no cards, QR codes, tips, offers, goals or chat. Put your CamuCam link in your Twitch About section instead.
