OBS chat overlay

Show your CamuCam chat in your OBS video as a browser source – with your Twitch chat next to it if you like.

The chat overlay puts your CamuCam chat into your video: a browser source in OBS with a transparent background, newest line at the bottom. If you also stream on Twitch, it shows that chat in the same window.

Set it up

  1. On Go live, open Settings → Chat overlay for OBS.
  2. Streaming on Twitch too? Enter your name there under Twitch channel (optional).
  3. Pick a Size (S, M or L) and when Lines fade after – never, or after 30, 60 or 120 seconds.
  4. Copy the address.
  5. In OBS: Sources → + → Browser, then paste the address. 400 × 600 works well.

Open preview shows the overlay in a browser tab. The options are part of the address – if you change one, copy it again and paste it into OBS.

What it shows

  • CamuCam lines with a small C mark and Twitch lines with the Twitch mark, in the order they came
  • emotes as pictures, and replies with “@Name” in front
  • tips and offers with their message
  • the wheel turning in the middle when someone spins it
  • a running poll on top, with “Vote at camucam.com/@yourname” for people watching elsewhere
  • emote combos when 3 or more people send the same emote within 10 seconds
  • a small bar at the bottom with your channel’s address

It keeps the last 14 lines. Lines a moderator removes disappear from the overlay too.

Kick, YouTube and more

The overlay reads Twitch only. To bring Kick, YouTube, TikTok and other chats together with CamuCam, use Social Stream Ninja. Streamer.bot and your own overlays read the chat API.

Cards and the ticker over your stream have their own OBS source – see overlays and links.
