Privacy

Short version: we store what the app needs to work, nothing is sold, and there are no ad networks or tracking scripts on CamuCam. The details:

Your account

When you sign up we store your e-mail address, or – with Google, Kick or Twitch – the account ID, name and verified e-mail that provider gives us. Plus what you set yourself: handle, display name, language, currency, colour and a profile photo if you upload one.

Sign-in links work once and are forgotten after a day. Sessions and passkeys are stored so you stay signed in; you can end sessions on your devices page.

If you turn on the bell, your browser’s push subscription is stored so we can send the notifications you asked for. Turn the bell off and it is removed.

What is public

Your handle, display name, photo, level, badges and the channels you follow are visible to everyone. Chat messages and tips are shown in the channel you post them in, also through the public chat API that stream tools use – it shows exactly what every viewer sees, nothing more.

Messages removed by a moderator disappear from the chat but are kept for the team, so reports can be checked.

Money

Top-ups, tips, fees and payouts are recorded in our ledger together with the Solana transaction signature. Solana is a public blockchain: the on-chain part of a payment (addresses, amounts, time) is public forever and not something we can delete. Your CamuCam handle is not written to the chain.

A payout goes to the address you enter; we store that address so you don’t have to type it again.

Watching and streaming

Watching needs no account. To count viewers we store a view with a hashed IP address for 30 days – that is how viewer numbers and creator ranks are calculated. The hash cannot be turned back into your address.

Your country is looked up from your IP address on our own server, only to choose the first language of the page. The address itself is not stored for this.

Streams are live only. We don’t record them and nobody can watch them later. While a stream is live we keep one small preview image of it; it is replaced as the stream goes on and dropped when it ends.

Who else receives data

Google, Kick or Twitch – only if you sign in with them, and only what you approve on their screen.

Our e-mail provider delivers sign-in links and account mails. The Solana network processes payments. Exchange rates come from a price service, requested by our server, not by your browser.

Nobody else. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no data sales. The only cookies are our own: session, language, currency, colour and the invite code you arrived with.

How long we keep things

Account data for as long as the account exists. Notifications 60 days, viewer log 30 days, expired sessions and used sign-in links are cleaned up automatically.

Support conversations, reports and moderation notes stay as long as they may be needed to handle the case.

Ledger entries are bookkeeping and stay after an account is closed – without your name or e-mail.

Your choices

You can change name, handle, photo, language and colour any time, turn notifications off, and sign out of all devices.

To close your account, write to Support in the app. We remove the account and everything attached to it; chat messages stay without an author, ledger entries stay as described above.

Questions about your data: Support in the app answers.
